George Visits Knutsford Library's Homework Club

Friday, 21 October, 2011

Last Friday George visited Knutsford Library's Homework Club during its 'Help with Homework Week', 17 - 21st October.

In addition to access to the library's resources, students were able to benefit from specialist librarians and staff on hand to help with any homework questions in person or by using their online ‘Ask a Librarian’ service.

George said,

“I was delighted to visit and learn more about this excellent initiative to help pupils from Knutsford schools with their homework. It is a great idea and I’d encourage students to visit for themselves and learn more.”

Clr David Brown, cabinet member for performance and capacity, said: “Our libraries are a fantastic resource and this is an excellent opportunity for youngsters to learn how to get the most out of their local library – and get help with their homework.

“We at Cheshire East Council understand libraries play a vital role in improving life opportunities for our residents.”

A council spokesman said: “All libraries are happy to offer class visits throughout the year to introduce pupils to the library service.”
