Your chance to explore Parliament for free

Once again, Parliament will be opening its doors to everyone as part of London Open House Weekend, which this year takes place on 21 and 22 September, and we hope to see lots of Cheshire residents there. On Saturday 21 September the atrium and first floor of Portcullis House will be open to the public, free of charge, from 10am to 5pm. As well as viewing the architecture, modern art collection and first floor committee rooms, visitors will have the opportunity to view stands and exhibitions and engage with staff from various departments as well as listening to a range of talks given by staff, architects and engineers. On Sunday 22 September Westminster Hall through to Central Lobby will be open, again with a number of stands, exhibitions and talks available and mini tours of the Crypt Chapel. For the first time this year we are hoping to run some outdoor ‘events’ including tours of Parliament Square conducted by Blue Badge Guides.  If you are planning a visit to London and want a behind-the-scenes look at some of the capital’s most iconic buildings, visit www.londonopenhouse.org. Date: Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September Locations: Portcullis House, Westminster Hall and Central Lobby
